Swiss International Air Lines
More than a flight, a memorable experience
SWISS understands the needs of customers across the travel spectrum, from group reservations on a regular flight – to exclusive charters and special excursions, SWISS offers friendly, reliable, on-time service.
Ever dreamt of taking a very special flight with business associates? How about taking everyone to London to attend the premiere of a musical, or to Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum, or to Florence for a shopping spree? Well, why not charter an entire aircraft? It may cost a lot less than you think. An hour of sightseeing in a 50-seat Saab 2000 Concordino, for instance, will cost you just CHF 7,000. And an hour is ample time to take in the Jura Mountains, the Matterhorn and the three most majestic peaks of the Bernese Oberland – the Eiger, Jungfrau and M–nch. We'll even lay on a glass of champagne and an aperitif service in typical SWISS style.
Needless to say, you can hire other aircrafts in the SWISS fleet, too. From the Embraer 145 with 49 seats all the way up to an A340 with 230 seats. They're all waiting to take you far beyond the clouds.
The largest network brings you the biggest advantages
The Star Alliance network was formed in 1997 to provide customers with greater benefits than each member airline could provide alone. The network's global coverage has now increased, serving 842 airport destinations in 152 countries, with over 15,500 flights daily. The Star Alliance network is now even bigger, with SWISS having joined April 1, 2006. So every time you fly with SWISS you're actually flying with a Star Alliance member airline and therefore enjoying a wide range of travel advantages.
SWISS wins World Travel Awards in three categories
The 13th World Travel Awards were selected on the basis of input from more than 167 000 travel-and-tourist-sector specialists from 200 different countries. The winners received their distinctions on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at a gala ceremony held on the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean.
Once again, SWISS featured prominently among the podium places, winning awards in the following categories:
• Europe's Leading Airline
• Europe's Leading Business Class Airline
• World's Leading Economy Class Airline
This was the fourth year in succession that SWISS has been named Europe's Leading Airline – and the second time that it has garnered the Europe's Leading Business Class Airline distinction. SWISS was further voted the World's Leading Economy Class Airline, the first time it has earned this award.
